Through extensive training, dedicated customer support, and three distinct migration transition phases, Vorsite can empower you to kick off your migration efforts flawlessly and start realizing the true benefits of Microsoft cloud solutions today.

Phase One: Planning

Phase one begins with meetings with your organization to help you identify important business and technical issues that could arise during migration. Your dedicated project manager will manage the scope of all work while ensuring that all BPOS services are delivered on time. Some of the tasks delegating to the planning portion of your migration include:

  • Brainstorming in our custom Solution Alignment Workshop (SAW)
  • Determining Internet bandwidth
  • Performing gap analysis of transition
  • Analyzing mobility requirements

 Phase Two: Preparation

The second phase is all about preparation, laying the foundation for key directory data synchronization such as distribution groups, user identities, and contact information. Our services in this phase prepare all company data to transfer effortlessly to your exciting new data management systems. Phase two consists of some of the following tasks:

  • Directory cleanup
  • Client computer setup
  • Communications and training
  • Migration groups and scheduling
  • Reduce mailbox size

A dedicated representative from Vorsite known as the Deployment Consultant will assist your organization with technical and project-related items throughout the entire migration process. He or she will serve as your primary contact for deployment technical issues.

Phase Three: Migration

The final portion of your full-service migration to the Microsoft tools suite is the migration itself, where Vorsite helps your organization implement all user accounts, migrate email content to the Microsoft Online environment, and test all services. We also assist with the following:

  • Submit Standard Operating Procedure
  • Configure all email applications
  • Change MX record
  • Prepare helpdesk and support

How to Enable Vorsite's SharePoint Federated Search Web Part for EMC Documentum

Vorsite Federated Search for EMC Documentum

The Vorsite Federated Search Connector provides integration points between Microsoft Search Server 2008 or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Enterprise Content Management Systems such as EMC’s Documentum. By bridging the gap, Vorsite technologies allow information workers to seamlessly access relevant search results from multiple back-end systems, maximizing the value search delivers to enterprise customers. Federated Search Connectors utilizes the SharePoint search engine and the Documentum search engine to pass search queries to a target system and accept and display results returned from that system. Customers tell us, “I need to find all of the information I can about my client with one search query. I don’t care where it comes from; it just needs to be relevant.” Federated Search Connectors are the fastest and easiest way to perform a search query which is sent to both engines and the results are merged together in a single result view.

Advantages of Federating Content with Microsoft SharePoint Search

By using federated search to return search results:

  • You require no additional capacity requirements for the content index, as content is not crawled by the search server.
  • You can take advantage of a repository’s existing search engine. For example, you can federate to an Internet search engine to search the Web.
  • You can optimize the content repository’s search engine for the repository’s specific set of content, which might provide better search performance on the content set.
  • You can access repositories that are secured against crawls, but which can be accessed by search queries.

Key Features

  • Secure, accessible data
Information workers use their enterprise content management platform permissions to maintain security of available content.
  • Enhanced business processes
Federated Search connectors remove the need for multiple files and redundant information.
  • Improved quality of business decisions
The Vorsite Search Connectors make it easier to locate and retrieve relevant data.
